A Common Challenge as an Entrepreneur

One of the most daunting things about being an entrepreneur is there often is no rule book. No clear cut, obvious path to take at any given moment. You have to take risks and it’s not always easy to know what to do. But there are 3 ways you can harness the wisdom of others to at least feel a bit less alone when trying to figure it all out!

1: Talk to the internet. Yes, really. Even though your situation may be unique, you can still probably find similar scenarios, advice, and wisdom via Doctor Google. Obviously the internet is full of errors (everywhere except this website ;)) but you can still find a lot of food for thought and maybe even a good idea. Like this one!

2: Talk to business partners/colleagues/networking acquaintances. Sometimes we are our own worst critic, and sometimes there’s a huge blind spot we have and we have no idea. Either way, talking to fellow peers in your work world can be a huge help in figuring out whether your latest idea is any good, or whether you should take path A, B, or Q.

3: Ask your customers! It may really be that simple! Don’t reveal your entire hand to them with questions like “What would help you spend more of your money with me?” Be creative with your phrasing and the type of questions you can choose to ask. But people love to give their opinions and it can often be very insightful when you’re stuck and don’t know what to do next.

Just a few ideas for how to get input and wisdom even when you aren’t on a conventional career path!
